Abstract Children’s effective participation seems to be difficult achieve in practice. Although the United Nations Convention on Rights of Child came into force 1989, recent research reports that rarely occurs. This qualitative study explores a group adolescents’ views participating child welfare ‘responsibility teams’ (RTs) Norway. The two specific foci are experiences regarding influence their own situation and how RT model may useful way ensure children’s right participate. concludes alone cannot participate form professional competencies also important. calls for further research, especially children with RTs.
